Hi! Leigh here! Sometimes I do fitness things. (That is a joke. I am always doing fitness things.)
I have always been passionate about fitness, but I started getting serious about my fitness journey September 2015. At that time, I started weightlifting with the goal to compete the following year in my first bodybuilding competition. Since then, I have competed in 4 local shows and one national show, taking home two 5th places, one 3rd place, two 1st places, and an overall champion title. As a national competitor I have competed in Junior USAs in Charleston, SC, and may potentially compete at others in the future. I am also currently studying under ACE to become a certified personal trainer.
Beyond being a certified fitness junkie, I am a senior at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, though I am originally from Johns Creek, GA. I am studying Learning & Organizational Change in the School of Education and Social Policy with a minor in Business Institutions and a certificate in Integrated Marketing Communications. Additionally, a big chunk of my time is dedicated to cheering on the Northwestern Wildcats as a Northwestern cheerleader.
On campus, I am a member of Form & Function marketing club as well as an active member of Zeta Tau Alpha as PR chair. I also am in Lipstick Theatre as a performer in Burlesque!
My hobbies include (but are not limited to) aggressively tweeting, dancing on elevated surfaces, glitter, drinking coffee, and obsessing over the Bachelor.
